ISG, the business school at the heart of growing sectors.

Sport, a player in French economic life

Sport is a real pillar of economic life in France, especially because it has gradually become part of the French’s daily life.

Right from the organization of international sporting events or through its management with public administrations, it represents a real economic, social and political challenge.

More and more companies have put sports in the spotlight within their various departments.

In addition to being connected, sports in the community, in teams, between colleagues have been shown to be a huge accelerator of employee performance.

Sport, a player in the economic life of today and tomorrow

France has always welcomed sporting competitions as a major and powerful event for its economy.

Its commitment and investment in the world of sports has also made it possible to accelerate social transformations and the creation of new technologies to modernize and encourage everyone to play sports.

Tomorrow, institutions and top athletes will have the honor of hosting major events to promote French sport throughout the world.

Olympic Games, Rugby World Cup or European Cup, sport is plural by the diversity of these events, but also by the nationalities that present themselves.

New sports are born every year, thus allowing high-level athletes to be born.

Who says big sporting event also says big professional opportunities to seize. According to a study by the Organizing Committee for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, it is estimated that more than 150,000 jobs will be created in sectors directly linked to the Games.[1] of which 78,300 within the event sector and 60,000 in the tourism sector.

Companies, start-ups and agencies from all sectors will also benefit from these events and new professions will emerge!

Communications, marketing, digital, events, sponsorships and partnerships, community management, press relations, fan experience, business development… so many professions that will allow enthusiasts to experience these events live.

Major sporting events
Hosting the Olympic Games in 2024 as well as the Rugby World Cup in 2023 strengthens France’s position in the sporting world. All the players in the sector are mobilizing to promote these events and promote French know-how. From innovation of equipment, integration of new connected sports arenas in the national area to environmentally responsible reflection, there are so many challenges for everyone and qualified profiles are sought after.

Other challenges at this event in the territory relate to the areas of digital, marketing, events and communication. The international media coverage of these events is such that all sports equipment brands and manufacturers will innovate to stand out.

“Paris will show the world that it is a benevolent, sustainable, inclusive city with a focus on digital. Paris will be the city of transformation and will be the sustainable European city of tomorrow.”
