James Webb, Journey to the Origin of the Universe: Words and Faces

… Documentary about France 5, Thursday 13 October 2022 at 21 … We see the Moon as it was 1 second ago; the sun 8 minutes ago… The Hubble telescope already made it possible to see the universe (the last most distant galaxies visible from this telescope) as it was 13 billion years ago, knowing that it was missing about 0.7 billion years, space of time from the beginning of the universe since the universe (the one we observe) is 13.7 billion years old…

Hubble therefore did not see what the universe contained and was made of in this first time of 0.7 billion years… But James Webb, orbiting the Earth at 1.5 million kilometers, now sees in this time of 0.7 billion years, but only partially, that is, until about 0.3 billion years after the “Bing Bang”… Where galaxies are already forming from “clouds” of gas and dust (matter and energy, particles, interacting with each other and gathering, associating). .. A “process” in short, of creating what exists will exist and therefore of life in its most original forms. Simple and destined to become more complex…

The first thing that came to mind after watching this documentary is that Time (duration) “may not exist”, otherwise this question arises “What is time?”

In fact, as human beings as we are created, constituted, we remain dependent on our perception of time (of its duration)… Just as we are also dependent on gravitation, by the way…

So 1 second for us humans, or 8 minutes, or 1 light year (300,000 km traveled by light in 1 second), so these 300,000 km multiplied by as many seconds as there are in a year of 365 days, it gives the traveled distance kilometers in a year…

Thus we see the Andromeda galaxy located 2 million light years away (very rough estimate indeed) as it was 2 million years ago… Which implies that if in the Andromeda galaxy there are more planets where intelligent life has evolved , these planets we see are as they were 2 million years ago. (Since then it is almost certain that life on these planets has disappeared)…

Time may not exist “in the absolute” (or in the reality of the universe), time does not exist, is not defined and is not measured in different units from the smallest to the largest, from nanosecond to light years, than according to our perception of time as people…

Time (duration) is also perceived by all living beings other than humans, but differently.

So for a dog or cat, for example, one of our days is perceived differently in duration… time perception… In such a way that for us, for example, 1 year for a dog is 7 human years…

A moth lives for us for a quarter of an hour!

But “life is life” and “what is its duration” if not its duration “in the absolute”, i.e. in the reality of the universe?

If time really exists, it can only exist in an inclusion, in a meeting or in a set of the totality (as if fused) of time perceptions, unique and unique, for each living being (from the simplest to the most complex). of organisms): the “true” universal and timeless time, in a way… A time that “would permit or permit” space travel and the communication that could be established between our civilization and another located somewhere in the universe … Which implies that we manage to acquire the ability to make ourselves independent of our perception of time.

In the conception of time which remains ours as it is, a journey in space over great distances and a communication with another civilization is neither conceivable nor realizable; only imaginable…

What we would receive (a signal) from another civilization, for example located 2 million light years away, would have been emitted 2 million light years ago, and our response would take an equal amount of time, 2 million light years, to reach them. ..

What interest would there be for us in receiving a signal from these “others” if these “others” have since disappeared?

And wouldn’t we also have disappeared when these “others” received our response?

There is surely another reality where time as we perceive it in our seconds, days and millions of years no longer exists as such…

It is the same for distances in space, in the universe, between stars, galaxies: as for time, we perceive distance as humans, as we are… (How does an ant perceive, for example, on our planet 1 of our kilometers? )

It is in fact of a time that no longer exists as such, and of distances or spaces that no longer exist as such… (as we perceive them)… space and communication with other beings become possible and attainable…
