The 30th edition of Loops of the Seine Rally The city of Pont-Audemer (Eure) will be a success. More than 170 teams have registered for the regional event, but a maximum of 150 will be able to take the start. “We want a set of quality and quantity”, rejoices Denis Mirail, one of the volunteers from Team Minard, an association which since the beginning of the year is led by Michel Rumare. An event organized in collaboration with ASA Boucles de Seine by President Martial Saussaye.
Pustelnik will defend his title
Three competitors are favorites for the final victory: Marc Amourette (C3 R5)winner in 2019, Sebastien Alemany (Fabia R5)with the title in 2020 and Stephane Pustelnik (C3 R5), the defending champion and multiple winners of the Pont-Audemer rally. As for Nyls Stievenart (C3 R5), Ghislain Barbier (Porsche 991 Cup) and Jean-Michel Leclerc (Exige Cup 260), they will be solid underdogs. During this 30th Boucles de Seine rally, spectators will be able to appreciate several beautiful cars: Mallet (208 T16 R5), Soloy (BMW Compact 318), Pruvot (208 T16 R5) or even Christiann (C3 R5).
Team Minard well represented
Team Jacques-Minard will be well represented as there will be six full crews, six drivers and two co-drivers. The crews: Benjamin and Katia Daigneau (206 F213), Pascal and Chloé Ballet (205 F214), Arthur and Franck Dufay (306 N3), Mathieu and Mattéo Vallot (106 A5), Kevin Patte and Élodie Aubé (106 A5) and Stéphane and Jessica Rebut (106 N2). The drivers: Arthur Rebut (Saxo N2), Florian Fauvel (Clio F214), Karine Maulion (Twingo R1), Paul Viquesnel (306 A7), Florian Vandenhende (106 A5) and Morgan Travers (Saxo N2). Finally, Sylvia Jasson (106 ASK) and Aurélie Varin (Clio R3) will accompany two drivers who are not members of Team Minard. Note that Florian Fagnen, 5th Norman out of 18 and qualified for the national final, could participate but with a different car. Last year at Châteauroux he finished at the top of his class.
Two new offers
As in previous editions, the drivers have to cover two stages of 6 and 7.2 km three times, i.e. almost 40 km. The first special is planned around the Risle valley and the second in the Lieuvin sector. “The two stages will be technical and fast. All the competitors will be able to find their way there”, clarifies Denis Mirail. Spectators will be able to participate in six dedicated areas, three on each stage. Two festival committees will be present to hold a refreshment bar.
Christophe Canteloup co-pilot
The rally is opened by Emmanuel Hervieu and his legendary BMW M3 (car 0). He will be accompanied by a luxury co-pilot, Christophe Canteloup, deputy mayor with responsibility for sports. As in previous years, official cars are lent by Renault Gueudet Pont-Audemer. On the occasion of the convention’s 30th anniversary, the twenty mayors who have hosted the convention during these three decades have been invited by the organizers on Saturday 8 October. Inspections will take place on Saturday 8th October from 10:30am to 12:45pm and then from 1:45pm to 6:00pm. As in previous years, the closed park will be located behind the theatre. The organization of the rally requires the presence of 120 people, from officials to marshals, including doctors, repairmen and volunteers.
