Realme X3 SuperZoom starts receiving stable Android 12 update

While OEMs are preparing for the Android 13 update, there are still many phones that are eligible to receive the Android 12 update. This includes many Realme phones. The Realme X3 SuperZoom is now the last Realme device to receive the stable Realme UI 3.0 update based on Android 12. The standard Realme X3 is also receiving the Android 12 update.

Realme X3 SuperZoom is a low-end phone launched in 2020 and it is currently priced at €499. The phone was released with the Android 10 operating system. Realme X3 SuperZoom then got Android 11 update and finally it gets Android 12 update. This is probably the last major update for the phone.

The update is currently rolling out in India, but will soon be available in Europe as well. Android 12 update rolling out with build number RMX2085_11.F.05. But to receive the big update, your phone must be running on RMX2085_11.C.15 / RMX2085_11.C.14 / RMX2085_11.C.13 version.

new design

  • The completely new design, which emphasizes the feeling of spaciousness, provides a simple, clean and pleasant visual and interactive experience.
  • Rearranges the layout according to the principle of visual noise reduction and element spacing, and prioritizes information with different colors to make key information stand out.
  • Redesign icons using new materials to give more depth and a greater sense of space and texture to icons.
  • Optimizes Quantum Animation Engine: Quantum Animation Engine 3.0 implements the concept of mass to make animations more realistic and optimizes over 300 animations to provide a more natural user experience.

Convenience and efficiency

  • Adds “background stream”: Apps in background stream mode continue to play audio from a video when you close them or lock your phone.
  • FlexDrop is renamed Flexible Windows and is optimized:
    • Optimizes the method for switching floating windows between different sizes.
    • You can now drag a file from My Files or a photo from the Photos app into a floating window.

Security and privacy

  • Privacy-related features including privacy protection, passwords and emergency calls are now all available in Phone Manager.
  • Optimize spam blocking rules: Add a rule to block MMS messages.


  • Adds Quick Launch, a feature that detects apps you use frequently and preloads them so you can open them quickly.
  • Adds a graph to show your battery usage.
  • Improves responsiveness by turning Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and airplane mode on or off.


  • In team fight scenes, games run more smoothly with a stable frame rate.
  • Reduces average CPU load and reduces battery consumption.


  • You can now drag the zoom slider to smoothly zoom in or out when recording video with the rear camera.


  • Optimizes the automatic brightness algorithm to adapt the screen brightness to multiple scenes for a comfortable screen reading experience.


  • Optimizing accessibility:
    • Adds visual elements to text instructions for an intuitive understanding of accessibility features.
    • Optimizes the categorization of functions by grouping them into vision, hearing, interactive actions and general.
    • TalkBack supports several system apps, including Photos, Phone, Mail and Calendar.

If you are a Realme X3 SuperZoom or Realme X3 user, you will receive the Android 12 OTA update. This is a gradual rollout, indicating that the release may take days to reach all eligible devices. Moreover, the remaining countries will also join the party soon.

You can manually check for the update in the settings. This is useful if you are not receiving OTA update notifications. But before updating your phone, make sure to backup your device and charge it to at least 50%.
