The CIC Start Innovation Business Awards is also opening its call for applications in the South West region

To act as a springboard for projects committed to the development of innovations on French territory, this is the goal that the CIC has set itself with an annual competition intended for start-ups and scale-ups. Pre-selection on file, organized in the six regional banks, will each appoint 3 winners. Finalists participating in the national final at Station F in Paris on 6 December 2022.

Ambitious companies from the south-west area will therefore be selected from October 20 (deadline for applications) to present their project to a jury, mainly made up of business leaders and VCs, during the regional final organized in the city of Toulouse, on November 23 and 24, 2022. The territorial anchoring of the competition is crucial because it makes it possible to rely on the sectors of expertise found throughout the territory: “The genesis of this competition is to highlight the most innovative projects in our region, from Bordeaux to Montpellier via Toulouse, and to send them to the finals to shine the colors of the south-west”witnesses Romain Laques, director of the Aude-Roussillon business agency and head of the CIC Sud Ouest innovation sector.

Prizes and categories, a competition that gives projects of all sizes a chance

And the IMPACT category, which supports projects with a strong social, environmental or societal impact. While the IMPACT and SCALE winners will be awarded 10,000 euros in addition to their place in the finals, the START category will receive, in addition to the ticket to the finals in Paris, 5,000 euros in prize money and 5,000 euros in export support. ” The Impact award, which we are awarding for the second time, has a special flavor for us. Last year it was awarded, in the final, to a startup from the CIC Sud-Ouest, Smart Catch, whose CEO this year was integrated into our regional jury. », continues Romain Laques.

A jury of nine professionals was therefore set up to decide between them. Among them: Valéry Jimenez, president of the transport company JIMENEZ, Xavier Deleplace, CEO Crédit Mutuel Innovation, Aline Cerf, president and co-founder of Smart Catch, regional finalist of the CIC Start Innovation Business Awards, Romain Raffard, founder of Bergamotte , Sandrine Jullien-Rouquié , President of La French Tech Toulouse, Isabelle Bourgade, Director of Innovation and Synergies Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, Yvon Gaubert, Regional Airbus Development Delegate, Christelle Dantras, Director of Business Market at CIC Sud Ouest and Julien Boué, co. -founder and CEO Brico Privé.

We offer the finalists the opportunity to meet our best experts in the subjects of equity, social engineering or even international support. Therefore, do the startups that we support, that with the same level of requirements and service that we provide to our SME, ETI and large group customers. We also support them with a coach for the public track in the finals.
