Citroën presents Oli, a concept car that demonstrates many of the ideas that will be found in the brand’s cars in the future. The key words here are sustainability, optimism and accessibility.
Citroën seems to be teeming with ideas. In addition to changing the logo, yesterday the chevron brand shared a concept electric car named Oli. The latter first has the ambition to be a laboratory on wheels. Although the concept should never roll off the production line, many of the ideas and innovations it offers will find their way into future family electric cars from Stellantis.
What first catches the eye is naturally the design by Oli. The car is completely angular, and its vertical windshield stands out in the current automotive landscape. Some will think it looks like a small Hummer, but its aesthetics are above all inspired by industrial designwhich combines functionality, efficiency and durability.

Neither completely spartan nor luxurious, the cabin is still equipped with the modern features that drivers expect today. The dashboard, for example, projects information across the width of the console. The manufacturer does not indicate it, but it is not forbidden to imagine that the latter will integrate Android Auto, for example. The cabin is kept simple, yet comfortable and functional with mesh back seats, washable floor and lightweight recyclable materials.
Oli symbolizes the future of the brand: its mission is to provide a simple, accessible and intelligent electric mobility solution to improve people’s daily lives withlowest possible impact on the environment. The goal of returning to greater simplicity is all the more ambitious, as current cars are so complex that they have become beyond repair for ordinary mortals.
Eagles Go, also reusable tires, have been specially designed in collaboration with Goodyear. The American tire manufacturer also respects Oli’s specifications regarding recycling and sustainability. The treads are made of sunflower oil, pine resin or rice husk ash silica. According to the American company, it will also be possible to refurbish the tires twice which corresponds to 500,000 km.

Neither a coupé nor quite a sedan, this concept car wants to adapt to all purposes, whether family or utility. A proof of this is the modularity of Oli’s panels, which allow, in a few manipulations, that turn the car into a small pickup truck. From the 2CV in the 1940s to the AMI released in 2020, Citroën has become a reference in terms of popular and accessible cars. Today’s concept wants to stay in this line of smart, versatile and affordable vehicles.
Since many parts of the bodywork are made from recycled and recyclable materials, they can be changed with minimal cost. The hood, roof and trunk floor, for example, are made of honeycomb cardboard, a guarantee of lightness and repairability, but also of solidity, as, according to Citroën, you can stand on it. For the chevron brand, it will be more interesting in the future to replace parts rather than buying another car, as has unfortunately become the norm.
Like its venerable ancestors, Oli is not a power monster, and this is an advantage in terms of energy conservation. With a consumption of only 10 kWh per 100 km, for a maximum speed of 110 km/h, its autonomy passes the symbolic milestone of 400 km. Its two-way battery provides a recharge from 20 to 80% in 23 minutes, and when you are not driving it, like the Nissan Leaf, it can be connected to the electrical network to supply your household, for example. In the company’s own words, Oli has the opposite view of an automotive industry that offers increasingly heavier, more complex and expensive vehicles. While current family cars weigh up to 2500 kg, Citroen would like to limit the weight of this type of vehicle to around one ton.
