Actress and essayist, Noémie de Lattre wrote it in 2017, and five years later, this rhythmic show that intelligently mixes theater, stand-up, cabaret and manifesto is even more deeply rooted in current events.
women of the world
“Féministe pour hommes” is the first of 18 shows for all audiences in the new cultural season in Lons. It echoes certain texts by Florent Marchet, always chiseled with his sharp pen. “Magnificent! enthused Jean-Marc Gonzalez, director of Espace Chambaud. Florent Marchet is a multi-talented artist: novelist, composer, known for his soundtracks for cinema and television (“A moi Seul”, “Je lover d’être sage” , “According to the police”…), a native of Berry is also an interpreter. On melodic flights and with the end of his clear voice, he scratches the veneer of appearance to tell the story of family, friends, life, death, a battered woman through titled “How Beautiful”…
The feminine echo will definitely be present this season. He comes again for the last musical meeting with the collective “Les Amazones d’Afrique”. Formed in Mali in 2015, this pan-African collective with variable geometry fights in music for “women’s freedom in the world”, emphasizes Jean-Marc Gonzalez. An explosive and festive militancy that mixes electro, hip-hop, congotronics and pop beats on stage, breathes a breath of modernity into traditional melodies and addresses all women, “not only from Africa”, continues the director of the Chambaud area. In the first part, the site programmed Biso, training of local sizes with Antoine Perrut, Chacha Angela…
Between the first and this last date, “the program respects the great balance of the Lonsoise seasons: quality shows and for all tastes”, summarizes Jean-Marc Gonzalez, and a price policy that has remained unchanged since the opening of the Espace Chambaud, he recalls .
Dancing and festive
As every year, the music thus explores a wide spectrum: blues with Miss Bee & the Bullfrogs, programmed in the 2020-2021 season as the first part of Moonlight Benjamin. The group born in the cauldron of the defunct Show Case Time in Pau, has since gained notoriety and maturity. He was awarded on Thursday 7 July by the EBC the Challenge Blues Français 2022 prize during the Cognac Blues Passions festival. On October 14, he celebrates the release of his second album during a festive evening organized by Espace Chambaud with his neighbors from Ampli à Billère. Another partnership will bring together the two structures around the Normans of Maison Tellier, one of the solid pillars of French rock that Ampli passed in 2016.
These two concerts will be offered in a sit-stand configuration, as “Les Amazones d’Afrique” and “Ladaniva”, a resolutely dancing and festive French-Armenian duo, which borrows from the sounds of the Balkans, oriental music and pop, that offer music warm and lively.
Openness to the world is also Piers Faccini’s musical credo, whose people have been enriched on his new album with Malik Ziad’s oriental sounds. Musical journey, always with the sunny Cuban cellist Ana Carla Maza, programmed in 2016 at the Oloron jazz festival as a Latin jazz duo with her father Carlos. She will be solo in Lons with her “Bahia” project and always the same energy.
Espace Chambaud is also impatiently waiting for Quebec writer and performer Dominique Fils-Aimé, planned in collaboration with Tonnerre de jazz in April 2021, then in January 2022, canceled for various reasons related to the health crisis. During her first invitation, she was to present the first album in a trilogy… finished today, and it will feature the third piece on the Lonsoise stage.
Happy and explosive trio
The hyphen between music and humor will be the Maria Dolores y Amapola Quartet: musical humor for “a second degree show completely taken on! by a very whimsical character who talks about his relationship with tango.
Humor always, with an English accent and two companies united in “Meet Fred” to marry dolls and disabled people. Or even, with the funny lecture “Why chickens prefer to be raised in batteries” by Jérôme Rouger, then the funny Patrice Thibaud. After making Espace Chambaud laugh in “Franito’s” clothes three years ago, he arrives on Sunday, December 11 at 5 p.m. with “Fair Play”, “another nugget”, polished this time in the middle of the sport. “Something to get you in a good mood before the holidays,” smiles Jean-Marc Gonzalez. To get the new year off to a good start, Lons is programming a surprising little circus gem: “Extrémités” by Cie Inextremiste is a joyous and explosive trio of performers, including one in a wheelchair, playing with balance in a whirlwind of energy and good-humored communication .
“Extrémités” is a visual spectacle, as is “Le carrousel des moutons” and its acrobatic and facetious piano. The “Sheep Carousel” will be offered in Lons and Serres-Castet, which spotted this little wonder last year: a poetic, delicate and fun promise of travel. Almost everything is in the title…
Like the previous one, this 2022-2023 season is also enriched with artistic and cultural educational workshops offered by Sophie Feugas and five meetings for young people, for early childhood structures, schools, high schools and high schools: “Mano Dino”, “Versant Vivant”, “The most precious of goods” and “Kinderzimmer”.
Some events, such as the very funny and virtuoso “Goupil and Kosmao” by Étienne Sagglio and “La serpillère de Monsieur Mutt”, inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s artistic universe, are planned together with the Jéliote space in Oloron, and screenings organized for young audiences and the general public.
