Eva Air offers some Business meals in economy class

EVA Air Premium Economy and Economy passengers will soon be able to enjoy the same meals as those traveling in business class. The Taiwanese company had the good idea to offer business meals with a supplement to these travelers…

The new meals, created by chefs Huang Ching Biao and Joe Huang, will be complimentary for Business Class and Royal Laurel passengers from October 1 to December 31, 2022.

Premium Economy and Economy passengers, on the other hand, will be able to enjoy these meals for $25.75 (when booked before departure): availability is limited, however, with only eight specialty meals in premium and 12 in economy up for grabs.

Chef Huang Ching Bao has created a selection of multi-course meals including steamed halibut with minced chilli paste along with prawn and lime dressing, chayote salad with pine nuts and water chestnut cake with osmanthus for dessert.

Evergreen Sky Catering chef Joe Huang, meanwhile, has devised a meat-free alternative with ingredients sourced from Taiwan to further reduce carbon emissions. On the menu a starter of vegetable pancakes decorated with chopped truffles, a main course of artichoke with vegetable lasagna and an apricot tart with tea jelly for dessert.

Both meals are presented on tableware from the Singaporean luxury brand Luzerne.

Passengers can choose the new meal options by logging into the Manage Your Trip platform on EVA Air’s website or via the app. Choices can be made up to 21 days and 24 hours before scheduled departure.
