HP 15s-fq4026nf against the competition
HP 15s-fq4026nf is currently showing as promotion at Darty And by Fnac. It is positioned as one of the cheapest in its category.
Chassis, connector, screen of HP 15s-fq4026nf
It has an elegant and understated look with its thin and light natural silver design.
This versatile laptop has good connectivity options, including 1 USB-C, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless modules for remote connections and communication, an audio port, a practical HDMI video output for easy connection to e.g. a TV, but also 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guarantees transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect USB 3.0 peripherals to it.
Thanks to its 16:9 format and its Full HD definition, the screen is well suited for showing videos and more generally High Definition content. Its anti-reflective treatment also makes it more readable than a shiny panel in a bright environment (e.g. outdoors).
Performance, autonomy for HP 15s-fq4026nf
The HP 15s-fq4026nf is a thin and light 15-inch High Definition laptop designed for everyday versatile mobile use.
It certainly incorporates a low-power processor, but whose TDP of 28W higher than the standard 15W allows for better performance, which, however, affects the autonomy. Here we find more precisely integrated Core i5-1155G7 Intel Tiger Lake, which together with 8 GB of RAM delivers a good general performance that can suit many users.
In addition, the Core i5-1155G7 houses the Iris Xe graphics solution directly in it, thanks to which you can view photos and videos, but also play modest games. This is all the more significant as this thin and light laptop does not have a dedicated graphics card.
On the storage side, there is an SSD that rivals the standard of hard drives in terms of capacity with its 512 GB, while being quieter, less energy demanding, more robust and much faster.
As a result, the SSD provides much better responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis compared to a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, start/stop, processing and software launch are especially much faster, and we get to the cards faster in online games.
If 512 GB proves to be too tight, you can of course use an external storage device. Favoring a USB-C / USB 3.0 device then represents an attractive solution to achieve fast transfers.
Regarding the autonomy of this Ultrabook, whose transport is facilitated by the controlled weight and finesse, bet about 6 hours on battery with light use.
