An elderly lady helps a single father change his baby’s diaper, the next day a luxury car arrives at her house

A single father was at the zoo with his children when he realized he had left his baby’s diapers at home. An elderly lady stepped in to help her, and the next day a luxury car showed up at her doorstep.

Jason is a single father of two children, Sarah, his 6-year-old daughter, and Rob, his one-year-old son. Mandy, Jason’s wife, died giving birth to Rob, and it’s a heartbreaking time for him. He could not celebrate the arrival of his long-awaited son because he was mourning the love of his life.

Despite this, Jason promised his late wife that he would do everything he could to take proper care of their children. He worked hard to support them and would spend all his free time with them.

One day, Jason decides to take his children to the zoo. Sarah and Rob marveled at the many animals around them and enthusiastically visited each enclosure.

Then Rob starts crying. At first, Jason thought his son was hungry, so he bought them hot dogs from a food stand. When Rob can’t stop crying, Jason checks his diapers and finds that he has peed.

While checking the backpack he had packed earlier in the day, Jason realized he had forgotten to pack extra layers for Rob. He tried to ask the zookeepers if they sold diapers inside the facility, but they said no.

Running out of options, Jason said they had to go home. They slipped out of the toilet and stood by the umbrellas, where this time Sarah began to cry.

“I don’t want to go home!” she yelled. “We barely got to visit all the animals! Why do we have to go home just because Rob peed his diapers?!”

Sarah started throwing tantrums and Jason was desperate, with two children crying at the same time. “Help me, Mandy,” he whispers, hoping his late wife is watching them from above.

At that moment, Jason suddenly felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He turned to see an older woman handing him a pack of diapers.

“I’m sorry to interrupt you son, but I was cleaning the bunks when I heard you say you left your son’s diapers at home,” she told him. “Here I have diapers. Take them so you can continue enjoying your day at the zoo.”

Jason wondered why an old woman happened to have a lot of diapers at the zoo. Nevertheless, she was an answered prayer and he couldn’t help but think that his late wife Mandy had entered from heaven.

“That’s very kind of you. Thank you!” he said gratefully.

“My name is Dorothy,” said the old woman. “I’m a janitor here at the zoo. Before I came here for my shift, I had bought diapers and milk for my great-grandchildren, who are coming tomorrow for Thanksgiving,” she shared.

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Jason replied as soon as he realized the diapers were for his great-grandchildren. “Please give me your address. I’ll send you a new pack of diapers in time for the holidays tomorrow.”

Dorothy shook her head. “There’s no need for that. Shortly after I arrived at the zoo, my grandchildren told me they couldn’t come anymore. I’m going to spend Thanksgiving alone,” she sighs.

Jason feels sorry for the old woman and wants to help her. She looked like she was heartbroken. She was supposed to look forward to the day, but her family had to cancel at the last minute.

After they parted, Sarah suddenly spoke to her father. “Dad, poor grandma has to spend Thanksgiving alone. She deserves to be with other people who care about her!”

Jason knew Sarah was right. He told his daughter they would do something about it and they went about their day. Before leaving, they visited the zoo’s administration office to learn more about Dorothy.

At the entrance, the administrative manager welcomed them with a warm smile. “How can I help you ?” he asked them.

Jason said they ran into a nice old lady named Dorothy who claimed to be a cleaner at the zoo. “We found out that Dorothy will be spending Thanksgiving alone tomorrow. We don’t want that to happen!” Sarah suddenly intervenes.

The administrative manager smiled at the little girl’s delicacy. He admits that they don’t normally share employee information with their guests, but since it’s Sarah who politely asks, he’s willing to make an exception.

Jason, Sarah and Rob went home that day with happy hearts and minds. Not only did they enjoy their family day, but they are also looking forward to spending the Thanksgiving holiday together.

The next day, Dorothy wakes up to hear her doorbell ring. She curiously opens the door and is surprised to find an expensive car parked outside.

“Hello, Dorothy,” Jason tells her. “Someone here doesn’t want you to spend Thanksgiving weekend alone,” he said, pointing at Sarah, who was hiding behind him.

“Do you want to use it with us?” Sarah asked shyly.

Dorothy couldn’t help but cry because she really didn’t want to be alone on Thanksgiving. “You are sent from heaven,” she said, wiping away her tears. “I would love to spend Thanksgiving with you!”

With that, Jason, Sarah, and Rob waited for Dorothy to get ready, then returned with Dorothy to their large house by the lake, where they cooked a delicious turkey, ham, and chicken pot pie, which they ate together.

Jason, Sarah, Rob and Dorothy spent the entire afternoon swapping stories around the campfire as if they had known each other forever. Sarah began calling Dorothy “Grandma,” which warmed the old lady’s heart.

Since then, Jason has invited Dorothy to eat with them at every party so she no longer feels alone. They became a happy family, and although Dorothy’s children and grandchildren hardly visited her, she never felt alone again.
