On the night between July 1 and 2, a resident of Tricot had the unpleasant surprise of having his vehicle stolen, parked in the driveway of his home. However, the vehicle had been spotted in the area, which enabled the gendarmes to identify the two drivers of the stolen vehicle.
One of the young people – they are both 25 years old – was arrested on Friday 5 August in Coivrel. The other, who knew he was wanted by the police, went to the gendarmerie on Saturday 6 August, where he was taken into custody.
These two young men from the Picardie plateau were yesterday presented to the representative of the prosecution. They will be sentenced on Monday afternoon before Beauvais magistrates as part of immediate appearance proceedings. A procedure that, however, allows them to request a delay to prepare their defense. According to our information, these two men are known to the judiciary for traffic offences.
