Since the launch of PS5, we’ve been taking your feedback and working hard every day to implement the features the community has been asking for. Today we’re rolling out a new PS5 system software beta that includes 1440p support, game previews, and additional updates that will improve your gaming experience and help you interact with your friends on PS5. .

Although the beta version is limited to invited participants from select countries*, we plan to roll out these updates to our entire international community later this year. If you’re one of the players selected to try the beta, you’ll receive an email invitation when the update becomes available for download later today. We remind you that some features offered in the beta phase may not be included in the final version or may be subject to change.

Here is an overview of the new features:

New gameplay and customization options

This PS5 beta adds support for 1440p HDMI video output, which allows players to select an alternate display setting on compatible computer monitors and TVs**.

If your game supports 1440p rendering, you can enjoy native 1440p output to your monitor.

Additionally, if your game runs at a higher native resolution, such as 4K, you can benefit from improved anti-aliasing by upsampling to 1440p output.

To determine if your HDMI device is compatible, select “Test 1440p Output” from the “Display & Video” settings menu in System Preferences.

In your game library, you can now create game lists to organize your games even easier.

To do this, go to the tab [Votre collection]and then select [Créer une liste de jeux]. Select the games you want to add to your game list, then give it a name.

You can create a maximum of 15 playlists with up to 100 games each. Any game in the “Your Collection” tab of your game library can be added to a game list, whether it’s on disc, digital or streaming***. You can add the same game to multiple playlists.
