The Prince of Wales drove his luxury vintage car around the stadium ahead of an exhibition where several vehicles came together to form a perfect Union Jack. Asked about his car just before the start of COP26 in Glasgow last year, Prince Charles made a funny revelation. “My old Aston Martin, which I’ve had for 51 years, runs on – can you believe it – surplus English white wine and whey from processed cheese”, entrusted the future king of England. It has to be said that over the years, Prince Charles has done a great job of maintaining this car, which his mother, Elizabeth II, gave him for his 21st birthday. Very committed to ecology, therefore the father of Princes Harry and William took years to find an environmentally friendly fuel for his old car.

“It was hard, he confessed. For years I tried to convert his various cars to biodiesel. I even tried running the royal train with old sawdust. It seemed like other countries were way ahead of us when it came to alternative fuels, but then we discovered a wonderful company nearby that specializes in turning waste into fuel.” In the magazine Aston Martin, he explained why he had set his sights on one of their models. “It is one of the most beautiful carsreplied this enthusiast.
