no mystery, it’s the best

Exactly one year after the release of its Enigma, Lelo is back with an evolution of its double stimulator, this time in a version equipped with cruise control technology.

Instead of having to choose between external and internal clitoral stimulation, more and more brands are now offering sex toys that are able to perform on all fronts. On the Wow Tech side, the Womanizer Duo has played the role since 2019. For Lelo, we had to wait until last year to discover the Enigma, which returns this year in a new improved version, equipped with cruise control technology. Behind its alien design, does the device make us take off? We do the test.

Design and ergonomics: we call it UFO

Delivered in its elegant black box, the Lelo Enigma Cruise opts for a design feature similar to the original model. For some years now, the brand has chosen not to differentiate the development of its products, which does not help the readability of the catalog.

However, Enigma Cruise stands out. First by its curves: with its question mark shape, the device is questionable and unlike anything found on the market. Offered in a black or pink all-silicone coating and topped by an impressive chrome-plated ABS plastic sheet, the sex toy is not really dependent on discretionand does not go unnoticed.

Upon closer inspection, however, we realize that the shapes of the Enigma Cruise are not entirely unfamiliar: the Swedish brand is largely inspired by its contactless stimulator Sona 2, to add a flexible branch dedicated to internal stimulation of the G zone. Thus, on the sideline of its penetrating part of 14 cm and 3.5 cm in diameter, there is a hollow head, designed to stimulate the 8000 nerve endings of the external clitoris thanks to its signature SenSonic technology.

As on all Lelo products, there are three control buttons on the device: while the middle one allows power supply, (+) and (-) provide navigation between intensities and modes. At this level there is nothing new: Lelo has established itself for years as a champion of ergonomics, and nothing is left to chance: the buttons are placed perfectly under the fingers and the brand pushes the sense of detail to ensure that the (+) appears at the top of the sex toy when in use. It might be a detail, but it’s actually rarely the case with the competition, which keeps turning over the controls. We also appreciate option to lock the deviceideal for going on holiday or avoiding an impromptu start in a bag.

If the special design of the Enigma Cruise may surprise, it shines as much in its originality as in its finish. More than ever before, Lelo assumes its high-end positioning and justifies its price: at more than €200, the sex toy borders on perfection. It remains to be seen if it is really effective.

Double stimulation: watch your eyes

With its flexible arm designed to stimulate the G-zone, the Lelo Enigma Cruise succeeds where many others fail by offering a effective double stimulation, able to adapt to most morphologies. Because it is often at this point that things get complicated: every body is different, and it is often difficult to succeed in creating a unit that is flexible enough to fit the largest number while remaining rigid enough to allow effective internal stimulation. . Here it is flawless, the internal branch of Enigma Cruise finds its place perfectly once inserted. Its design has certainly not been left to chance, allowing for hands-free use.

Who says double stimulation logically says double engine. While the outer part of the Enigma Cruise delivers powerful non-contact SenSonic waves, the inner part delivers powerful low-frequency vibrations. Surprisingly, Lelo did not see fit to choose separate orders. It is therefore impossible to start the two engines independently of each other. to focus only on internal or external stimulation. At this point, we understand Lelo’s ambition to offer complete stimulation of the inner (G-zone) and outer clitoris, especially since the result is particularly decisive. But at €219, we probably would have preferred a bit more versatility.

In use, Enigma Cruise can impose itself as one of the best sex toys we’ve ever tested. Its hands-free efficiency is formidable, and this is also one of the only points that could be criticized for it: unlike Sila Cruise, who advocated letting go and slowness, Lelo’s dual stimulator goes straight to the point . The device’s eight vibration modes ensure orgasms in seconds for sensations as deep as they are intense.

However, be careful: if it is undeniably very effective, we do not recommend it for the first sex toy. First, because its flexible crotch may not be huge, but it can be impressive, even with a good dose of lube. So because as we said above, the Enigma Cruise goes straight to the point, and probably won’t be suitable for the most sensitive clitoris.

Cruise control: the detail that changes everything

Cruise control technology is not new to Lelo, as it is already found on the new generations of Sona and Sila stimulators. Far from being anecdotal, the functionality makes it possible to “to slow down” the puzzle i reserve 20% more power at the moment of orgasm. Specifically, the excess intensity is released when the device is pressed firmly against the body. The insurance promises the mark of an orgasm without loss of speed.

However, note that if the combined technologies of the Enigma Cruise make it a pretty incredible sex toy, it’s still more designed for solo use. Unlike most non-contact stimulators, Lelo’s double sex toy leaves little room for a potential partner.

Price and availability

Marketed since June 2022, Lelo’s new Enigma Cruise is offered for €219 on the brand’s official website and at most retailers. A significant budget for a luxury stimulator that delivers on all its promises.
