Differences between Exynos and Snapdragon
The structure of Exynos and Snapdragon SoCs is what sets them apart. If performed well, each of them is supposed to be a master in their own right, but as we all know, that is not the case. All Samsung Exynos processors are designed and manufactured internally, while Qualcomm outsources chip production to TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).
It is a collaboration that has always been offered to the company. Chip development is a collaborative process, and Qualcomm and Samsung use ARM’s architecture, as well as internal adjustments, for their processors. ARM supplies Cortex cores to both companies, from which Samsung creates the Mongoose version, and Qualcomm modifies and renames them Kryo cores.

There is no direct way to check if your Galaxy phone has a Snapdragon or Exynos chip. But the CPU-Z tool can be useful in this situation. This is a free app that you can get from the app store. It is also very useful. CPU-Z is a tool for determining the system information on your device. This means you can check battery status, capacity, device make, system and other information.
Step 1. To download CPU-Z from the Google Play Store.
Step 2. Once installed, start it.
Step 3. Now navigate to UNIT tab and check if it’s Snapdragon or Exynos next to it Plank possibility. In my case, it’s Lahaina. the chipset is known as “Lahaina”, which is the code name for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor, according to a new entry in the Geekbench database. It appears to run on an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz.
Otherwise go to Settings > About the phone > Model number. If the model number ends on F / DS is the Exynos model while you and ISLAND is Snapdragon.
Why does Samsung use Exynos chips?
The Exynos chip was chosen by Samsung for a variety of reasons, the majority of which are commercial. As the largest mobile device manufacturer by volume, Samsung’s desire to reduce its dependence on other chip manufacturers is understandable. It’s a paradigm that Apple has successfully implemented, and the benefits are obvious. Since most mobile networks in the United States use CDMA, most Exynos phones in Europe and Asia end up ahead of the United States. It was not previously supported on previous Exynos processors. Another consideration is that Snapdragon has built-in LTE and supports 4K video, which Exynos processors have struggled with in the past.
