Technology is evolving at a phenomenal rate, and that applies to all areas, including TVs and their technologies. Thus, a few years ago, we discovered OLED TVs, jewels of technology that offer images in vibrant colors. But as we say, technology keeps evolving and now we have a new technology available: Neo QLED. OLED a light source for television

Organic Light Emitting Diode or OLEDis a technology that allows pixels in a TV to generate their own light to form a visible image.

Until now, the light from pixels on a TV was supplied by an external light unit, LED or Mini-LED for LCD televisions, or by a chemical reaction for plasma devices. From now on, the light illuminating pixels on a TV can be supplied by OLED components.

Neo QLED a technology developed by Samsung

QLED technology is based on a quantum dot filter placed on a plate and backlit by LEDs.

Quantum dots are cadmium selenide nanocrystals, small semiconductor three-dimensional structures that respond to light by producing fluorescent light.

Depending on the size of the quantum dots, the length of the light wave varies to recreate very fine color shades that are very close to reality.

Samsung has therefore created Mini LEDs 40 times smaller. For the same screen size, Neo QLED TVs have thousands of extra LEDs assembled for some models in more than 800 zones, and we get a really much more accurate backlight.

Image contrast and sharpness reach levels never seen before on LCD monitors. Since nanocrystals are inorganic, Neo QLED TVs are also much more durable and less energy consuming.

Two other innovations play a key role at the precision level:
