Ripio, an Argentina-based cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the launch of two products, an educational cryptocurrency manual to help newcomers navigate the cryptocurrency market, and a Web3 wallet that the company is aiming for. to position as an easy gateway to the metaverse. While other Latam-based exchanges have staff licenses to survive the current market, Ripio is expanding to Spain.
Ripio launches an educational book on cryptography
Ripio, a Latam-based exchange, issued announcements about its product offerings earlier this week. The company introduced two products that aim to improve the cryptocurrency knowledge and experience of its users in the metaverse. First, Ripio launched a Cryptocurrency Handbook, created to help newcomers to the industry learn the basics of blockchain and crypto.
The book, which will be available as a free download for users, is part of the exchange’s ethos of bringing crypto education to as many people as possible. Ignacio Carballo, an economist from the University of Buenos Aires, said most people who used crypto in Latam started after the Covid-19 pandemic. At the launch it was said:
In this context, this book is very useful in providing consumers with tools to make responsible use of these digital assets.
Ripo explained that the book “develops basic topics for understanding and taking the first steps in this universe: Bitcoin, blockchain, mining, Ethereum, stablecoins and trading”.
And web3 metaverse wallet
The second product announced was a new Web3 wallet designed to make it easier for Ripio customers to enter the meta-verse. It is not the same as the Ripio wallet and will act as a multi-chain wallet similar to Metamask, allowing users to manage funds from different chains, manage NFTs and connect to various decentralized applications anywhere, a web browser like Google Chrome.
Sebastián Serrano, co-founder and CEO of Ripio, said:
The goal of the product is to accelerate the entry into a new phase of the crypto-economy, including popular digital collectibles or NFTs, play-to-earn games, DeFi protocols, marketplaces, digital art and others.
The Ripio metaverse wallet will have a new storage system, which Serrano says has been in the works for over a year and will be more efficient than comparable Web3 wallets with self-storage systems. The wallet is already available for beta testers in Argentina.
The company also revealed its expansion to Spain after announcing that it would take its services to Colombia in April.
