Nier Automata: one of the excellent games of recent years

First released on PS4 and PC, The Square Enix game created by Platinum Games has shaped the minds of many players. Its narrative was watered down during the course of the adventure in an ingenious way, but even its soundtrack had sometimes bewitched even the most skeptical.

Since the game has gone on other platforms and has sold more than 6.5 million copies worldwide and therefore spills into the Switch in a full version including cosmetic DLC but also exclusive content:

  • Copy of 2P (2B)
  • Copy of 9P (9S)
  • Copy of P2 (A2)
  • Two YoRHa uniforms (2B / 9S)
  • Uniform prototypes (A2)
  • Fox masks (white and black)
  • Night sky barrette
  • Flowered remnant barrette
  • Mama (Pod 042 – NieR Re (in) carnation)
  • Carrier (Pod 153- NieR Re (in) carnation)

We will therefore have the opportunity for some players to discover creator Yoko Taro’s dreamy and ruined world that puts you in 2B’s shoes. The android is sent to earth to save what is left of the humans who have been hiding since the robots are trying to exterminate them.

Under its very nervous beat ’em all-tunes, as Platinum Games knows how to make them perfect, little by little, the game will reveal itself to offer another facet that we will not necessarily have grasped from the start. Very quickly questioning your goals and the means to achieve them, the game gradually places you in the shoes of a spectator facing his own actions. An adventure that should not be revealed to those who have not yet had the pleasure of tasting it, but who will bring back fond memories of those who have traveled it.

More than a successful sequel, the NieR Automata is a multifaceted gem of rare intensity. If some will undoubtedly make the mistake of stopping their judgment on its simple dated technical envelope, they will miss out on an experience full of twists and turns. Equipped with a captivating scenario that evokes many thoughts about the condition of the machines, the project, to our greatest delight, exchanges the somewhat shaky gameplay from the first part of 2010 for a handling equipped with all the know-how from the Platinum Games studio. Original in many aspects, surprising in many others, fascinating to experience and listen to, NieR: Automata has all the assets of a memorable game.
