How to use a Whatsapp account on two phones at the same time?

Social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat allow users to sign in to their accounts from multiple devices. And while it may seem unfair that WhatsApp still has not allowed its users to do the same, you will not think so after hearing the reason behind it.

The most important factor here is user safety. One could say that the same goes for Instagram, but it actually is not. First and foremost, Instagram is a large-scale social media platform where all users can access most of the platform’s data. The only major risk for mishandling Instagram account data is with users’ DMs and those with private accounts.

Most people’s WhatsApp accounts, on the other hand, contain sensitive information about their family and friends. In addition, most contain pictures of themselves and their family that they can not risk showing anyone.

WhatsApp has not enabled multi-device login on the platform to avoid such incidents with users’ private data. However, the company released the said feature last year in June. However, it is only available to members of the beta program from now on. Also, the multi-login procedure on WhatsApp is much more secure than Instagram and Snapchat. Read on to learn about the login feature for more devices on WhatsApp and more.

Is it possible to use a WhatsApp account on two phones at the same time?

In today’s hectic lifestyle, it can be quite difficult to keep up with work, family, friends and private life. To make their lives more organized and easily accessible, most people today use two or three SIM cards on their phone or just keep two phones.

While all of this sounds good and easy in theory, it is not easy to run multiple sim cards on one device. It is therefore quite understandable that people want to use their WhatsApp accounts on two mobile devices, just as they use other social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.

WhatsApp has never offered such a feature to use WhatsApp account on multiple devices. In fact, the WhatsApp FAQ clearly states that an account is only verified on one phone at a time. Also, if you have to log in and out of your account on multiple devices repeatedly, you may be blocked from reconfirming your WhatsApp account.

Following several such requests, Instagram finally rolled out the multi-device feature (beta) in one of its updates in June 2021. This feature was designed to allow users to sign in from up to four devices on a single WhatsApp account.

But even now, only WhatsApp mobile app beta testers can use this feature. All you have to do is go to the Play / App Store and sign up as a beta tester. Keep in mind that beta apps for many mobile apps often fill up, so you may have to wait a few weeks before you can sign up.

If you have decided to continue this process, we are happy for you. To help you avoid any confusion, we also guide you through the steps below.

Third party app – Whatscan

It is understandable that you think participating in the beta program is too complicated. We also have a solution to your problem. As long as you have an Android device, you can easily use this alternative instead: Whatscan.

However, keep in mind that there is always a risk of malware and viruses when using a third-party app. WhatsApp is also not responsible for loss of data you like if you download such apps. Finally, the Whatscan application is only available in Play Store. So if you have an iPhone, we’m sorry to tell you that you will not be able to use this app.
