black color, price, specifications … one last leak reveals almost everything

After leaks and teasing that have been kept at a very high pace, we now have a preview of what appears to be almost all the specifications for Nothing’s future smartphone as well as its launch price.

There will not be much left to reveal about Nothing’s first phone call. If we were to believe new information, we would now (almost) have access to the entire technical data sheet for the Nothing phone (1), its price as well as the various colors available.

Two colors at launch

The information comes from the page Root My Galaxy in cooperation with PassionnateGeekz who would have managed to get their hands on exclusive information about the device’s specifications, the various models available, their price as well as some bonus reproductions.

According to their information, the Nothing phone (1) would use 50% plastic in its design in addition to the 100% recycled aluminum that the brand promised. We also learn that there would be another black color besides white, just like the ears (1).

This leak may seem credible since Nothing released a Nothing Series # 2 video a while ago where we can see a black smartphone chassis.

The website WinFuture has also been able to access multiple renderings showing the two colors of the smartphone, reinforcing the hypothesis of the arrival of this other color to the Nothing phone (1).

A fairly solid technical sheet for the middle class

The site also tells us what the smartphone will be capable of. There would be an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz (as mentioned in the Nothing Series # 2 video) with a diagonal of 6.55 inches. The smartphone would carry 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM with the ability to use virtual RAM and would be available in 128 or 256 GB of storage space.

The phone’s two photosensors would be a main sensor of 50 Mpx and a secondary sensor of 16 Mpx, the nature of which we do not yet know. In the same Nothing video, the designer of the smartphone, Tom Howard, answers when asked about the number of photo modules, ” How many camera modules do you use on your smartphone? »

We can therefore assume that Nothing has refocused on the focal lengths most used by consumers for its module. We might think that the smartphone will carry a wide angle and an ultra wide angle for example. According to Root My Galaxyit would resort to a 16 MP front-facing camera.

The smartphone will come with a Snapdragon 778G +, a mid-range processor from Qualcomm, the information has been confirmed by Carl Pei himself withinput.

Exclusive: @nothing / @getpeid confirmed to @inputmag the phone (1) will be powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 778G + chip. Here’s why!

It would offer a 4,500 mAh battery that could be charged using a 45 W charge that would charge the smartphone in half in just 30 minutes.

Wireless charging will also be a part of it. The back of the phone will also have 5W reverse wireless charging, which we already saw in action in the very first hands-on video for the phone.

A fingerprint sensor must also be integrated below the screen. Nothing would offer with an option for face lock. The speakers on the Nothing phone (1) would be Dolby Atmos certified and it would offer Bluetooth in version 5.2. According to Root My Galaxythe phone is said to be 7.55 mm thick and weighs 199 grams, which is roughly equivalent to the dimensions of a Galaxy S22 +.

No one charges in the box for nothing

Nothing would not include a charger in the box on its smartphone like some other manufacturers like Apple or Samsung and would offer an option to purchase it separately.

Here, too, we could have made this assumption in light of the brand’s video, which already gave us a sneaky glimpse of a rather narrow wrap for the smartphone. This is very similar to what Apple has to offer since the iPhone 12.

The Nothing phone (1) runs with the Nothing OS interface, which should be based on Android 12 at launch. It would come out in three configurations (prices are conversions of Indian currency):

  • 8 + 128 GB: $ 397
  • 8 + 256 GB: $ 419
  • 12 + 256 GB: $ 456

There would be a two-week delay between launch and release to afford it in most markets where the smartphone will be sold.

India on the other hand would be a priority for nothing, therefore the smartphone would be offered there before the other territories. We can understand Carl Pei’s company’s interest in this country, as it was already one of OnePlus’ largest markets in the past.
