The TB350 is the most advanced portable turbidimeter on the market – with completely new technology, unprecedented measuring range and unsurpassed accuracy.

90 ° BLAC technology® patented sensor

Multipath 90 ° BLAC® is Lovibond’s new patented sensor technology®. This makes the TB350 unique and the most versatile, combining laboratory precision in a portable instrument. Its special feature: the highest accuracy is guaranteed in the lowest turbidity range from 0.01 NTU and also maintains the exceptional level of accuracy in the highest turbidity range up to 4000 NTU.

The newly developed optical system works with two detectors ingeniously placed at 90 °, thus ensuring a pure nephelometric measuring principle (measures scattered light at an angle of 90 ° to incident light). When measuring turbidity, two different path lengths of the incident light beam through the sample are used intelligently. Thus, different particle sizes and shapes are detected with the highest measurement accuracy, even when the particle size distribution deviates from the calibration standard.

The new sensor technology is specially designed by a team of world-renowned turbidity experts to solve common user problems with turbidity measurement. The easy-to-read color touch screen and simple data management protocols ensure easy handling. Animated instructions guide each step of sampling to avoid operating errors. This makes the instrument intuitive and quick to understand, even for inexperienced users. A bespoke measurement mode for fast settling particles, “Fast Settling Mode”, completes the instrument’s performance. It increases the accuracy of turbidity readings for large and heavy particles from 20 NTU, but more importantly, in the high measuring range up to 4000 NTU.
