We are almost at the end of the month, but speculation about new upcoming smartphones is higher than ever before July, when a number of phones from all brands are expected to be released. From Notting’s very first smartphone to Asus’ latest ROG gaming powerhouse, here are the most anticipated smartphones of July 2022.
Note that the launch date for most of the phones listed below has not yet been officially confirmed. At present, these are not expected to be launched until July, according to leaks and rumors.
1. No telephone (1)
Carl Peis London-based startup Nothing is set to unveil its very first smartphone next month after months of leaks, rumors and official information here and there. The design of the Nothing (1) phone has already been officially unveiled along with a few other aspects like the new Glyph lighting on the back and the new NothingOS skin.
However, most of the phone’s specifications remain a mystery, even though we’re only weeks away from the official unveiling of the device. The Nothing (1) phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 778G + instead of a flagship in the Snapdragon 800 series and will have a setup with two cameras on the back. The device is expected to launch on July 12th.
2. Asus ROG Phone 6
The Asus ROG Phone series launched some of the most, if not the most powerful, phones in recent years when it comes to performance. The ROG phone series is aimed at gamers and super users and comes not only with advanced specifications but also other game features and accessories. The sixth edition of the phone is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chipset Gen 1.
This includes two charging ports, a secondary LED display on the back, enhanced shoulder release buttons for gaming and support for a range of proprietary gaming accessories such as gaming controllers, cooling pads and even secondary screens. The phone is expected to be launched on July 5th.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra
Xiaomi is expected to launch its most powerful 12-series phone next month with the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Like the Asus ROG Phone 6, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and other flagship features. The device is also expected to pack a much-improved camera setup developed by Xiaomi in collaboration with German camera manufacturer Leica.
Other details we know about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra so far include a rather unique rear design, consisting of a large camera island that takes up more than a third of the rear area, and a white color variant. . The device’s launch date has not yet been confirmed, but leaks suggest we could see the phone become official in July.
4. OnePlus Nord 2T
OnePlus Nord 2T was not originally expected to be launched in India, but new reports suggest that the new Nord series phone will have lunch in the country and succeed Nord 2 5G. The phone will be the successor to the Nord 2 5G, and if the specifications for the international variants of the Nord 2T are top notch, we might also see it powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset in India.
Nord 2T is also expected to transfer other specifications from its overseas counterpart, including a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen, 50MP triple rear camera setup with OIS, 32MP front camera, UFS 3.1 storage and 4,500mAh battery with 80W Wired Quick Charge support. According to the leak, the phone is expected to be launched in India on July 1st.
5. Realme GT 2 Master Edition
Realme is also in the race to launch the first Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset in India, and it looks like the device to launch the new flagship chip will be the Realme GT 2 Master Edition. The mysterious device, which was recently seen on Geekbench, is expected to be launched with a 12GB RAM variant and may have Android 12 out of the box.
Other specifications expected of the device include a 6.7-inch 120H AMOLED display, 50MP + 50MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the back, 5000mAh battery with fast charging support up to 150 W. More information about the phone is expected to appear in July .
6.iQOO 10 Pro
iQOO 9 Pro was one of the most powerful and feature-rich devices in its class. Now it looks like iQOO will follow the 9 Series phones with iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro, with both phones expected to be launched next month.
Improving the iQOO 9 Pro, the iQOO 10 Pro is expected to pack the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is said to offer better performance and thermal efficiency. Other expected features include a 120Hz QHD + LTPO monitor, a 50MP triple camera setup on the back and a 4,500mAh battery supporting the industry’s first 200W fast charge. According to the leaks, the iQOO 10 series will be launched in July, but we do not yet have a specific date to look forward to.
