What are the new monsters introduced in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak?

During the presentations, Capcom revealed a number of monsters that will come into play through the expansion. This is especially the case Sleepy Aurora and Alumdron Magma, two new subspecies. The former made ice cream its element. He can thus attack his enemies with a fog or an icy breath and sweep over them by sliding on the ice. The other is more a fan of heat. But Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s most impressive new monster is, of course the elder dragon Malzeno. The banner monster in the expansion, it can recall Velkhana from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne in vampire version. Since this is Sunbreak’s ultimate challenge, it will not be easy to achieve. He can actually protect himself by controlling a swarm of parasites that can draw energy from his opponents. He is adept at vampire attacks and can also inflict bleeding on his enemies, making him particularly formidable. And as if that were not enough, it can come in too a furious form, making him even more dangerous.

This expansion also marks the return of monsters that were present in previous Monster Hunter games. This is especially the case Flying Wyvern Seregios (Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate), but also Espinas, Gore Magala and Herminataur Daimyo.

What’s new on the gameplay page?

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak lets you customize your hunting style even more. To do this you can rely on new Silk Binding abilities for each of the game’s 14 weapons (long sword, double blades, cannon lance …). In terms of replacement talent, players will have the option to define two sets (the red transfer roller and the blue transfer roller) and switch between them fast in battle. Add to that the introduction of Dodge Blink and improved wall running, and you have a more exciting gaming experience than ever before.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak also allows hunters to be accompanied by the Paragons. These NPCs will join you in Paragon Quest battles, allowing you to bind yourself to the Paragons and then take them with you on expeditions. Note that quests also welcome a new level of difficulty with Master Rank.

What are the new places to discover in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak?

We have so far seen two places to explore in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, namely, the Citadel and the Jungle. The first is an area that stretches around the ruins of an ancient castle and gathers various biomes, from forested lands to ice valleys. The other is, as the name suggests, a jungle. It is not far from the water and offers many caves to explore especially.

Also note that hunters will discover Elgado Outpost, which serves as the base for the research team working on the mystery of Malzeno and other monsters in the area. You can shop there, but also find Kamura’s tea room there.
