Will there be a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE this year?

Every year, Samsung offers a number of advanced smartphones stamped Galaxy S, of which the S22 series is the latest iteration. Since the Galaxy S20 series, released in 2020, the South Korean has offered its flagship terminal in a version stamped FE for Fan Edition. The ambition with such devices is to offer the essential performance of the Galaxy S series at a lower price, subject to a few aesthetic and technical compromises.

SamMobile, which is generally very aware of the news about the telephony giant, assures according to its sources that Samsung will not follow up on this range in 2022 and that therefore there will be no Galaxy S22 FE. Our colleagues indicate that the reference SM-S900, which would have corresponded to the S22 FE in the manufacturer’s lists, is simply absent. They also remind that there has not yet been any leak of information to accredit the existence of this product.

Keep in mind that the Galaxy S21 FE, which was released very close to the Galaxy S22, was much more discreet than the Galaxy S20 FE, which by the end of 2020 had established itself as one of the best value for money of the year. The latest addition to the FE series nonetheless benefits from an efficient Snapdragon 888 chip, tucked under a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen (Full HD, 120 Hz). The smartphone is currently available between € 500 and € 700 depending on the retailers.
