A roundtable, organized on June 3 at ANDRH University of Nancy in 2022, brought together three executives with HR and / or business profiles on employee motivation and ways to stimulate their engagement:

“In Quipment, we have worked with remuneration of employees and their commitment. When I had to talk to them, I realized that there was a recognition problem. We used bounties and it did not work. We experienced a problem with hypergrowth, and in this situation, the individual interest of the employee is easily lost. »

“The company compensates with money, events and the story it conveys, but there comes a time when the employee no longer finds it. This is where managers and supervisors come in. They take the time to work with the employees, to monitor them and listen to their ideas. The more time we spend building the project, the more support there is. »

“I understood that it had limits to proposing career plans. We can not predict everything. We therefore try to ensure that the employee gradually builds his career and finds his account. The concept of meaning is very important for employees, along with the concept employability. “

“We have also slowed the pace by introducing a program of suspension and completion of projects at the level of the Executive Committee. We try to be honest with employees about what is and cannot be achieved.”

“After meeting the employees and discussing with them, I designed an organization chart and recruited for middle management positions. The relays are important and make it possible to take better care of the employees. »

“Attracting talent is a topic for all types of population, whether it is temporary, temporary or permanent. We are all talking about employer branding, and at this point we should definitely be creative but also authentic.

“When the company idealizes its speech, the candidates notice it. Power has shifted in the exchanges between the company and the candidates. To attract, you need to reposition yourself and make a cultural diagnosis of the company. We did this work with IAE master’s students in 2019. Thus, we avoid false promises to graduates. ”

“It is the first time in thirty years that we look forward to five years. We projected ourselves a year ago. We wanted to give employees much more visibility, which they have been asking us to do since 2018. ”

“When I joined in early 2022, I toured all the teams with the CEO to present our project. We worked with loyalty in parallel. It takes time.”

“We have decided to arrange an eco-citizen day for the whole group, where we gather our customers, our temps and our employees. We feel that this is a real lever for commitment.”

“We have been focusing on training leaders in agility since 2021. We welcome more and more young people from the new generations who do not react like the young people twenty or thirty years ago. They need meaning. ”

“So our leaders need to change the paradigm and pay more attention. People are allowed to make mistakes, it is part of the learning.
