Summary of episodes 1 and 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi

The first section introduces us to the series by showing us directly the dark period that the galaxy goes through. Some who serve the empire become significantly richer, while the majority of the population suffers every day. We discover that Obi-Wan Kenobi has become a shadow of himself as one of the last Jedi in the galaxy. To find out if Yoda, Palpatine or Maul show up, it’s here.

He has been hiding for 10 years now, keeping an eye on a young Luke and working on the chain. We also meet the famous inquisitors who were introduced long before prequels arrived. They hunt the Jedi and look for the last survivors. In the end, it’s Leia’s apparently dream life that we see on Naboo, though the latter has all of her mother’s traits and does not seem so happy with her life.

Eventually, Leia is captured by low-level bounty hunters after Reva finds a connection between the Organa family and Obi-Wan. This plan works, and the latter puts on his coat and takes back his lightsaber to save the child on Daiyu. A chase follows through episode 2, where we see a bond being created between Leia and Obi-Wan from the moment she discovers he is a real Jedi.

Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 ending explained

After the third sister reveals to Obi-Wan that Anakin is alive, it will the end of episode 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi ends with a gruesome shot of an unarmored Darth Vader immersed in a tub of bacta. Thus, Sith’s dark lord and emperor Palpatine’s apprentice most likely lives in his stronghold Mustafar.

Played by Hayden Christensen, who repeats his role as Anakin / Vador, the Lord of Darkness will no doubt leave his tank of bacta and put on his armor when he finds out that Obi-Wan Kenobi has been found by his inquisitors. One of the most surprising moments Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 2 was the apparent death of the Grand Inquisitor.

Head of the Inquisitorius, serving directly under Vader and the Emperor, the Grand Inquisitor was crossed by the third sister after trying to steal the glory from Kenobi’s capture. In view of the chronology laid down by Star wars as part of the cannon, the Grand Inquisitor spent a few more years serving the empire before dying in search of surviving Jedi Kanan Jarrus and his padawan Ezra. He is therefore certainly not dead, and Reva risks having serious accounts to submit.

That is logicalObi-Wan Kenobi did not know that Anakin was still alive. After all, he has been hiding out in the desert for a decade, trying to stay away from the radar. Moreover, Obi Wan probably assumed that Anakin was finished because of the injuries they received during their fight.

These damages would probably have been fatal if Palpatine had not arrived to rescue Darth Vader and turned him into the iconic cyborg who would hunt down the last remnants of the Jedi Order on behalf of the empire. Either way, it looks like Darth Vader and his former master are now on a collision course, as the end of episode 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
