SCHEDULE in pole position on the topics of the future – SCHEDULE Business School

When SKEMA was founded in 2009, the ambition was clear: to create a major player in French and European higher education, a group equipped with significant resources and a strong development potential. Today the bet is successful! 6. in the SIGEM 2021 rankings, SKEMA Business School is one of the rising stars in French higher education.

SCHEDULE: a “glocal” program

The school’s first strong point: fully international training courses thanks to campuses in the USA (Raleigh), Brazil (Belo Horizonte), South Africa (Stellenbosch) and China (Suzhou). “These facilities that we own allow our students to study around the world semester after semester,” explains Patrice Houdayer, Vice President, in charge of programs, international affairs and student life. During these tours, they will follow the unique naturalized SCHEME program according to the characteristics of the host country. What is called a Glocal program, a contraction of globally and locally. This is the whole principle of the “6×6” course – 6 semesters, 6 campuses – with subsequent unique integration conditions, such as the possibility for students who have completed their studies in Raleigh to automatically obtain a one-year work permit in the United States, sesame, so much sought after by students after a year spent across the Atlantic. These courses will also be available at no additional tuition fee.

Hybridization of training

Another strong point of SKEMA is the strong “hybridization” of its training. In addition to the basic principles of management, the school makes it possible to approach a wide range of complementary skills, especially through double and triple degrees. For example, the course in management and business law created with the University of Littoral Côte d’Opale, or even three engineering-management diplomas completed with ESIEA, Cesi and ITEEM – a course developed with Centrale Lille. “Other forms of collaboration,” continues Patrice Houdayer, an agreement with New York University as part of our MSC Global Luxury and Management program, or the Digital Marketing and Business & Management of Entertainment program with UCLA.

SKEMA has also opened two internal schools, one dedicated to law and the other to artificial intelligence, whose work irrigates the teaching of PGE and supports 3rd year specializations. SCHEME has finally announced the creation of a school of geopolitics before long (box).

Optimize the “teacher experience”

Another prominent argument in SKEMA’s discourse is the desire to optimize the student experience, in other words to offer students the best possible learning experience. Nathalie Hector, Director of Innovation and Student Experience, explains: “First and foremost, we carry out pedagogical work, to develop the most attractive courses possible, with audio, video and other connected equipment in particular, helping to set up immersive courses. But our desire also aims to facilitate the student experience as a whole.Among many initiatives is the implementation in September of a mobile application that will daily support students in international mobility.

SCHEDULE Transitions: a “hub” in service of the overall transformation of the school

Finally, a few weeks ago, the company announced the launch of a new structure, SKEMA Transitions, to make its own ecological, economic and social development more concrete. “Our goal will be to provide the necessary resources for the school so that it can succeed in its transition,” explains its CEO Yoann Guntzburger. conversion or development of a Transition Pathway so that all graduate students have a minimum education in the field by 2025. A transitional platform will finally be launched to make educational, scientific and operational resources available to support students, teachers and researchers on this huge topic.

A new school of geopolitics

SKEMA’s new school of geopolitics, announced in March last year, coincides with the desire to institutionalize this theme. This new structure will have several purposes. According to Frédéric Munier, its director and professor of geopolitics at SKEMA: “We will intervene according to three principles: instill, instruct and influence. Invite, because all SKEMA’s training courses will soon include awareness of geopolitics, with the issuance of a certificate in this field. Educate because we also intend to offer real courses dedicated to geopolitics.Specializations that we need to build in collaboration with a future Parisian university partner.Effective because this school will give our specialists the opportunity to express themselves in public space, of course in collaboration with our think tank SKEMA Publika. »
