5 new models available for less than € 300 / month

Even with state aid, electric cars are still quite expensive. But with the financing solutions available today, it is possible to afford an electric model for acceptable monthly benefits. We have selected 5 models for you under 300 euros per month.

At the beginning of the year, we offered you our selection of the 5 electric cars that were available for less than € 100 / month. They were not numerous, but some interesting models emerged, including the very successful MG ZS EV or the queen of electric city cars, the Renault Twingo E-Tech.

A little later, we increased the budget by going between 100 and 200 € / month with more versatile models like the Opel Mokka-e or Peugeot e-208.

From now on we will move on to the section still above, namely between 200 and 300 € / month. A pretty decent budget for a good electric car, enough to even touch some top models.

Electric Renault Mégane E-Tech from 260 € / month

This is the novelty of the year among French electric cars. We had the opportunity to try it, and we were, to say the least, won by the new electric Renault Mégane E-Tech. While not everything is perfect, the diamond company’s electric assets have serious assets to become the best-selling electric car in France.

Autonomy is announced at 300 km WLTP for that model, namely the Mégane E-Tech EV40. It has a battery with a capacity of 44 kWh and an electric motor with an output of 130 horsepower.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 4,000
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 260 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 13,360 Euro

Electric Kia e-Niro from € 269 / month

The next generation Kia Niro has just been introduced, but financing offers are already available. We have not had the chance to test the car yet, but on paper the numbers are interesting, very interesting even, with particularly good autonomy for really versatile use.

Kia is currently offering its new Niro with a single battery in France. It has a capacity of 64.8 kWh and a range of 463 km according to the brand’s estimates. It has a single 204 horsepower electric motor.

  • Contribution (bonus and conversion premium deducted): € 2,500
  • Duration of financing: 49 month
  • Mileage: 40.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 269 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 15,412 Euro

Volkswagen ID.3 from € 279 / month

A few weeks ago, the supply around Volkswagen ID.3 was greatly reduced in France, mainly due to lack of components, but also the small sales volumes of the small battery. The large 77 kWh battery has also disappeared from the catalog at the moment.

At the time of writing, the Volkswagen ID.3 is only available with a 58 kWh battery, giving it an advertised range of 425 km. It is indexed to an electric motor with an output of 204 horsepower. The car is only available in “Active” trim.

  • Contribution (bonus and conversion premium deducted): € 4,000
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 279 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 14,044 Euro

Hyundai Ioniq 5 from € 279 / month

Technical cousin of the Kia EV6, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a successful electric car that we were able to take in hand last year. It is a fairly advanced model with the correct equipment, but the Korean company manages to offer its crossover below the threshold of 300 € / month.

Ioniq 5 is available with two batteries, where the smallest is 58 kWh and the larger 73 kWh. The model covered by the offer benefits from the smallest, but this model nonetheless claims a range of 384 km according to the WLTP cycle. The set is powered by a 170 horsepower engine.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 4,820
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 279 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 14,864 Euro

Citroën ë-C4 from € 289 / month

The Citroën ë-C4 is the technical cousin of the Peugeot e-208 and other DS 3 Crossback E-Tense. Citroën’s electric sedan emphasizes comfort and a rather untraditional style.

At Citroën, the choice is simple, there is only one battery available, which is advertised for 50 kWh. Its autonomy is advertised around 340 km with a single charge, but the relatively high consumption that we could note during our test does not allow this value to be achieved with mixed use. The car is powered by a 136 horsepower engine. The advantage of this offer over the others is that Citroën does not ask you for a contribution as this is taken up by the organic bonus and the conversion bonus.

  • Contribution (bonus and conversion premium deducted): 0 euro
  • Duration of financing: 48 month
  • Mileage: 40.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 289 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 13,872 Euro
