NEW YORK, NEW YORK, USA, May 13, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ – Minx Couture is a Bronx native musician and gamer with one goal in mind, namely to level the playing field for independent musicians worldwide.
“When the Covid-19 pandemic happened, I felt it was a zero-sum game for everyone in every conceivable area. The underground music industry was hit hard, so we were left to figure things out on our own.
The pandemic has forced the closure of many hotspots in various cities, leaving musicians of all genres unable to be the places they love the most, namely the studio and the stage.
“I have always been the kind of artist who enjoys the study experience. As much as I hate to say it was my hole. You have to spend time and make music and meet new artists along the way, ”she began. “Live streaming has become my thing because you have to connect digitally to an audience and talk to them. It cured the social anxiety I was developing “
But it was not enough. While searching for a game night, Minx came across an advertisement for Oculus Quest 2.
“I did not know much about virtual reality at the time. I just thought it was a cool device to play games and watch Youtube. I was unaware of the social media aspect, which blew my mind, ”she laughs.
Minx began exploring social apps like VR Chat, Meta Horizon and Spatial as a way to slowly dive into this new sea of exploration.
“What I loved most was the idea of being able to create your own world. It can be a place to relax and chat, play games or hold events like an avatar you create. You can be what you want to be and create what you want to create and monetize it.Almost like a Patreon or Discord server like a world.
Minx knew immediately at the time that she would be bringing her game and podcast to Metaverse.
“People laughed at me,” she laughed. “They said that what I was doing was basically weird and childish. I sat for hours working on my virtual spaces and showed them off on my social media and was told that it was wrong to build in the meta-verse. For my life I did not understand the setback.
Minx went from global creation to Avatar creations and started its journey as Vtuber with its MINX Radio platform.
“I think what shocked everyone the most was that I had fun and was stupid. Bringing real elements to my metaverse, which are music and music videos from independent artists posted to my platform and sharing those with people in space and during a livestream, bridged the gap.
Minx created MINX Radio to give artists the opportunity to showcase their music and participate in discussions about the underground music industry.
“I believe that as more and more people get involved in virtual reality, we will have alternatives to be able to have paid events and space to hang out and build as musicians if there is a new lockdown. We must always be ready for a rainy day.
