5 new models available for less than € 200 / month

Cars often have the image of expensive products that are difficult to access financially, even with state aid. But thanks to financing solutions, some models can become quite affordable right away. We have selected 5 electric cars for you for less than € 200 / month.

Fiat 500 3 + 1

At the beginning of 2022, we offered you our range of the 5 electric cars available for less than € 100 / month. They were not numerous, but some interesting models emerged, including the very successful MG ZS EV or the queen of electric city cars, the Renault Twingo E-Tech.

This time we have to increase the budget a bit with cars whose rent is between 100 and 200 € / month. What you can afford for a fairly versatile electric car, and which is not necessarily limited to the city.

By browsing the websites of the various manufacturers and their famous “promo” sections, we came across several financing offers for less than € 200 / month, and we have gathered the most interesting ones for you here.

Fiat 500 from € 109 / month

As you may know, the new Fiat 500 has been converted to electric with its new generation. It is very successful in France, especially its version with the largest battery. Less well known is that Fiat also offers a variant with a 24 kWh battery.

Autonomy has been reduced by only 190 km, but this is still acceptable for a new electric car shown from 109 € / month. There is obviously more endurance for less, but the little Italian has a little upscale and sumptuous side that can make the difference.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 2,500
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 109 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 6,533 Euro

Peugeot e-208 from € 149 / month

It is one of the best-selling electric cars in France, and for good reason, because it appears for quite attractive monthly payments. On Peugeot’s side, we do not bother to offer more battery capacities or more electric motors, the e-208 is only offered with a 50 kWh battery and a 136 horsepower electric motor.

Autonomy is announced at 340 km WLTP, which is possible in purely urban use. For long road trips, the car will painfully reach a range of 200 km at 130 km / h before the next charge. It’s not the versatile electric par excellence, but its price / quality ratio is nonetheless interesting.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 3,975
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 149 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): 9,488 Euro

Renault Zoé from € 159 / month

Renault Zoé was long at the top of electric car sales in France before being cut off from under the foot of the Tesla Model 3. But that may be temporary in light of the sharp price increases observed on the latter. In 10 years, Renault Zoé has sharpened, and thanks to its battery with a capacity of 50 kWh, it can run up to almost 400 km of autonomy during the WLTP cycle.

The Zoé is equipped with a 110 horsepower engine and is slightly more versatile than the Peugeot e-208 thanks to a more measured consumption. On the other hand, for long journeys, although it will be more enduring than the lioness, do not hope to travel more than 250 km on a single charge.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 1,500
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 159 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): € 7,224

Hyundai Ioniq Electric from € 159 / month

For the price of a city car, choose a 100% electric sedan instead. This is what Hyundai offers with its Ioniq Electric. The Korean company is quite used to aggressive financing offers, Kona Electric starts from € 99 / month.

Hyundai Ioniq is not the latest electric car and it is reflected in the technical characteristics. The car is equipped with a 38.3 kWh battery and an electric motor whose power is 136 hp. Autonomy is not extraordinary for a 311 km sedan announced during the WLTP cycle.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 3,650
  • Duration of financing: 37 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 159 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): € 9,374

Opel Mokka-e from € 179 / month

Opel Mokka-e is the technical cousin of the Peugeot e-2008, which is also shown at prices below 200 € / month in base price. Opel is therefore also the technical cousin of the Peugeot e-208 mentioned above.

It uses the same 136 horsepower electric block and the same battery with a capacity of 50 kWh. Its aerodynamics and its weight, superior to the small Sochaux, cause it to lose a few precious miles of autonomy. The German SUV takes 322 km on a single charge.

  • Contribution (bonus deducted): € 3,300
  • Duration of financing: 36 month
  • Mileage: 30.000 km (ie 10,000 km per year)
  • Monthly payments: 179 euros
  • Total costs (contributions + monthly payments): € 9,565
